As the highly anticipated release of Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland approaches, Disney has commissioned several notable designers to create pieces to commemorate the film. Two French jewelry brands, N2 by Les Nereides and La Tonkinoise a Paris, have produced baubles featuring teacups, white rabbits and Alice figurines, while Los Angeles-based jeweler and favorite of fashion types, Tom Binns, designed high-end pieces with a matching price tag – up to $1500. Stella McCartney is the most recent contributor to the jewelry collection, with a gold chain necklace and bracelet featuring playing card charms. While mostly focused on jewelry pieces, Disney also asked designer Sue Wong to create clothing inspired by the film’s main characters, including the Red Queen, the White Queen, and of course, Alice.
