Karl Lagerfeld has opened a new Paris boutique dedicated to the menswear line of his brand, Karl. The 1,430sq ft store is located on the upscale rue Marbeuf, close to other luxury menswear stores such as Berluti and Kiton.
Spread over two floors, it carries everything from tailoring to casualwear and outerwear, along with watches, small leather goods, fragrance, accessories and souvenirs from the Karl Lagerfeld brand.
Karl Lagerfeld is the latest addition to Paris’s flourishing menswear scene. A host of young Paris-based labels have all opened their first stores in the past few months, including Officine Generale, knitwear label Monsieur Lacenaire and workwear brand Bleu de Paname. Alexandre Mattiussi recently opened the second boutique for his menswear label Ami on rue de Grenelle, while urban men’s brand Cuisse de Grenouille is preparing a second, larger store in the upcoming Batignolles neighbourhood. French label Melinda Gloss is also set to open a new flagship in established menswear hotspot Le Marais later this year, joining existing boutiques including 13 Bonaparte, Beaubien, Coïncidence and Void.
