Paris: In one of his most beautiful shows to date, Junya Watanabe took his man out of the gritty jazz club and the pristine mountains (themes of previous seasons), but fused those influences with classic collegiate pieces for a rugged-urban look. Set in a sunny rooftop studio equipped with two chipped green park benches and a Woody Allen-narrated soundtrack, a bookish and slightly offbeat vibe came through the collection of streamlined basics made novel with thoughtful design details and folkloric touches.
