New York: Jonathan Simkhai’s first runway show balanced modern sportswear with a contemporary edge. Gorgeous textured fabrics played an integral role with wire lace, drip rib intarsia knits, and interwoven strips of fabric. Curved pieces of fabric were cut and spliced together to draw the eye around the body creating the perfect puzzle. Leading model, Devon Windsor, opened the show in a sporty layered look of head-to-toe white wire lace while delicate evening looks closed the show with tulle bodies and intricate linear embroidery. –Jaclyn Jones
