London: Jonathan Saunders’ S/S 12 collection covered a wide spectrum of stereotypical housewife looks. Idyllic mid-century aesthetics were present in the form of fit-and-flare silhouettes and prim details like pintucks and covered buttons, while silk pajamas reflected the lounge-y, stay-at-home side of this season’s muse. In the manner of a Stepford, or modern-day Orange County housewife, the color palette, which was comprised of sunny yellows, pretty blues, pastel citrus hues and occasional neons, came across as sweetly peppy, while bordering on artificial. –Whitney Kessler
