Taking a break from the last few season’s informal presentations, John Bartlett went back to the runway for a wonderfully polished collection of looks inspired by the British horsey set. Knickers were often worn with thick woolen socks and rugged riding boots in richly colored leathers. A belted flannel cardigan jacket was one of the standout pieces, as were a velvet tailored vest and pants worn over a chambray shirt and black turtleneck, the epitome of luxurious layering. Bartlett certainly always know how to dress a real man, and his vision for F/W 10 matched many men’s desire to dress up and look polished, whether for weekend riding or weekday working.
