Our Stylesight New York team headed over to the Javits Center last week to preview some of the new collections from over 1,200 international costume and fine jewelry designers and suppliers at the JA New York Trade Show.
Over 13, 000 jewelry professionals attended the show and bought into a number of trends noted by Stylesight’s accessories team.
Innovative geometric cast pieces in silver create a contemporary luxe look, particularly when paired with cultured pearls or bold colored gemstones. Niala’s unique fine silver bangle and the statement ring for Thistle & Bee convey this look perfectly.
The opulent, earthy collection from Karyn J Designs was a highlight and showed how the use of natural crystals and geodes continues for the Summer season and takes on a luxurious feel perfect for high-end consumers.
Animalistic themes continue to up-trend and were seen in both pared down and elaborate forms, referencing cult Cartier and Boucheron pieces. Wrapped, articulated serpent bracelets at Rock & Gemz and a pavé decorated stag’s head pendant necklace from Aspire Designs Ltd were particular keynotes in this perennial jewelry theme.
