London men’s denim label, Jean Machine partners with Missoni, the iconic fashion house for their Fall/Winter 13 ready-to-wear collection.
Over the past few seasons, an increasing number of runway designers have been collaborating with established denim brands on ready-to-wear collections. Some of the most notable partnerships that have hit international Fashion Weeks include Mary Katrantzou for Current Elliott, Notfiy Denim x Manish Arora, Levi’s x Junya Watanabe and the ongoing collaboration between J Brand x Christopher Kane. It is easy to see the appeal and commerciality for both parties on these partnerships that combine denim expertise with innovative designs to create a truly unique and directional product.
The latest collaboration to hit the Fall/Winter 13 runway emerges from two family-run business and specialists within their product categories: London’s infamous Jean Machine by Chloe Lonsdale of MiH Jeans and Missoni, the iconic Italian fashion house.
Launched at Milan Fashion Week, the exclusive collaboration features a selection of Jean Machine’s signature raw denims highlighted with Missoni’s exclusive knit techniques. Key items featured in the collection include a Jean Machine’s JM2 straight leg jean in a clean blue rinse wash with Missoni knitted pockets in the season’s blue-camel color palette. Also offered is the classic Jm4 jacket, reworked to include a button-out detachable Missoni zigzag felted wool waistcoat in a coordinating blue-camel knit.
Dates have not been released yet but items will be available on Jean Machine’s webstore as well as Missoni outlets.
