Held twice a year on New York’s Governor’s Island, the insanely popular Jazz Age Lawn Party has become a twice-a-summer event to attract all the budding Scott and Zeldas out there. With live music, dancing and countless picnics, the party becomes just as much about people watching as it does anything else. Also on the agenda: a pie recipe contest, Charleston lessons, 1920s car exhibition, tug o’ war and a parade of hats.

The next Jazz Age Lawn Party will be held on August 20th and 21st (11AM – 5PM).

hey! I was at this! you’re missing photos of the 4 hour long line to get the hot dogs we paid $35 for. I heard there was a band and dancing in the distance, but by the time we got our hot dog, everyone started going home. Hope they are better prepared for the masses in August. Oh, we also found out it could have cost us $5 to get in & could have brought our own food & booze. oh well.
