New York: Continuing on from the exquisite collection he presented for Fall 2015, Jason Wu presented a lineup for Pre-Summer that was versatile, precise and so very chic. His philosophy for ‘wear now’ ticked all the right boxes beginning with a streamlined belted pantsuit cut in starched wool – an important base cloth that appeared throughout – also appearing in a layered, precisely cut jacket worn over a fox vest. The decorative aspect was inspired by the artist Ghada Amer, “who created free-form lines” as well as the scribble design that covered a slim shift dress and an equally beautiful shirtdress. The sartorially cut pantsuits complemented a plush, cozy coat in long ‘peach nougat’ coloured fox fur, which Wu referred to as “it’s my powder puff.” while the only backdrops that Jason Wu used were a refined chair borrowed from Jean Royère for the occasion and a minimalist upright dining chair which leant a stunning ambiance to the entire presentation. – Lizzy Bowring
