New York: In one of his most cohesive collections to date, Jason Wu crossed active with baroque inspirations, and balanced prim sophistication with girlishly playful proportions. Sporty-fancy combinations were interspersed throughout – drawstrings were crossed with lace, and lavish embellishment decorated tailored garments. Looking at this season’s graceful blending, one would never guess that Wu has struggled with inconsistency in the past; his execution has much improved.
