J Brand launch their F/W 12 Essentials with their newest and most innovative design to date, The Scuba Jean.
Athletic influences were everywhere this season for the apparel market, and no sport is being mined with as much intensity as scuba diving. Designers like Rag & Bone, Derek Lam and Michael Kors showed how this trend can work out of the water, looking to classic wetsuit designs for inspiration. Each designer took decidedly aquatic themes in their collections, featuring neoprene, neon, and ergonomic paneling . F/W 12 sees premium denim market leader and purveyor, J Brand take the first plunge for the denim market, with their exclusive lightweight fabric. The wetsuits design is translated through the tight fitting silhouettes, overlocked seams and minimal detailing, while the smooth and soft texture of the construction (85% Nylon, 15% Elastane) fits you like a glove from hip to ankle, flattering your figure.
The pant is currently only available in Odyssey Black on J Brands online web store as well as Totokaelo (for $297) but previews of the Fall collection show a sneak peek of what other styles you should expect to see in stores this season.
