And the Oscar (nomination) goes to… Quvenzhané Wallis! The youngest actress to ever be nominated for the Best Actress award, nine-year-old Quvenzhané starred as “Hushpuppy” in Beasts of the Southern Wild. The film follows six-year-old Hushpuppy as she battles through an impending storm that leaves her small Louisiana bayou town caught between a levee and the release of reanimated prehistoric creatures. Check out her performance and be sure to see the film before the Oscars air on February 24.
