When you first meet Isa you see the her eager youth and passion for her craft. Though young, her experience and know-how spans from years of industry experience, and most recently as Accessories Director at Ann Taylor.
Her F/W 12 collection, only her second, shows a clear point of view with a refined aesthetic. “I design shoes for all the women in my life. Women that want to be sexy and feminine but practical. They follow trends but are not ruled by them.”
For next season Isa proposes an urban Alice in Wonderland: she’s certainly not lost in the city, but rather stimulated by all it has to offer and “never turns down a good time down the rabbit hole,” according to their look book. Below is a closer look of Isa Tapia‘s F/W 12 collection.
Matilda – The perfect city flat in a round toe last, high vamp and ballet grosgrain finishing and elastic bow. Available in printed calf hair, water snake and texture python.
Claire – Pointed toe flat in patent and embossed exotic.
Eddie – A loafer in a class all its own, with a high vamp inset and contrast ankle strap.
Alice – My favorite! A layered strappy pump in water snake with patent bow details.
Lisi & Kate – Embossed nubuck with woven detailing throughout. Statement boots for fall to say the least.
It’s easy to see why we fell in love with the line and we look forward to seeing the collection grow in future seasons. -Jenn Tello
