The 9th edition of the Biennale Internationale Design Saint Etienne is challenging the standards of Beauty to try offering a new take on what is considered beautiful today and might be considered beautiful tomorrow.

A full analysis will be available next week on Homebuildlife, but for now, we’ll just say there are two strong propositions.

One gets back down to the essential, with a purity of form and finish, while the other introduces new perceptions with grotesque and bizarre objects. Both explorations echo what we see emerging for the next seasons in our Elemental and OffBeat autumn/winter 2016/17 macro trends.
