InStyle magazine has revealed the winners of its 2015 Best Beauty Buys Awards, in association with John Lewis, which includes 105 products across skincare, body care and hair. The winning products were voted by over 100 industry professionals.
In the make-up category the big winner was MAC who picked up eight awards which included the best lipstick range, best lipgloss, best eye pencil, best powder eyeshadow, best long-lasting lip colour, best cream eyeshadow for their Pro Longwear Paint Pots, best red lip shade (Ruby Woo) and best compact foundation for Studio Fix Compact. Lancôme’s Hypnôse Mascara won the best mascara while Bobbi Brown’s Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner earned the best liquid/gel eyeliner award. The best concealer went to Laura Mercier’s Camouflage and classic favourite Nars Orgasm was voted best powder blush.
Clarins picked up four awards including three in the skincare category: Toning Lotion with Camomile won best toner, Double Serum won best serum and Blue Orchid Facial Oil was voted as the best facial oil. Other winning products in the skincare category included Liz Earle’s Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser (best wash-off cleanser), Origins No Puffery Cooling Roll-On for Puffy Eyes (best eye de-puffer) and Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant (best facial exfoliator).
In the body category, winners included Kiehl’s Crème De Crops (best body moisturiser), Aromatherapy Associates Deep Relax Bath & Shower Oil (best bath oil) and Ren Moroccan Rose Otto Body Wash (best shower gel).
Finally, winning products in the haircare group included Batiste (best dry shampoo), Tigi Queen For A Dry (best volumiser) and Bumble and bumble Defrizz (best defrizzer).
A new category this year was the Editors’ Choice Awards, which showcases new beauty product launches voted by the InStyle beauty team. Winners included: Dior Diorskin Star Fluid Foundation, SkinCeuticals Resveratrol B E, Charles Worthington Salon At Home Root Concealer and Balance Me Super Toning Body Polish.
The Best Beauty Buys supplement will appear in the publication’s March issue, on sale on January 29, and will also include a series of how-to videos from the InStyle beauty team demonstrating the products.
