Denim brands are becoming more and more savvy with their web designs, and we love the recent update to the Citizens of Humanity url with their links to contemporary art, culture and music.
The brand reworked its website into a creative platform that guides the user through a discovery of what they call The Citizens of Humanity Philosophy: their culture, product, and artistic visions. The exploration page is a pin board of the brand’s most inspirational style icons in art and fashion as well as recommendations of new lifestyle happenings around the globe.
Their great selection of videos include face-time with both the Founder, Jerome Dahan (ex Guess, Lucky Brand and 7 for All Man Kind) and creative director, Adriano Goldschmied, talking about their inspirations, denim passion and even touring the laundry. Goldschmied discusses the invention of denim washing in 1974 and the way the laundry industry has changed in the time he’s worked in the business. Fascinating watching. Other features include a selection of films that introduce the brand’s denim inspirations, like its short documentary on legendary L.A. gang photographer, Estevan Oriol, and Goldschmied’s visit to the Rosebowl.
