Chanel recently released images of the making of the classic 2.55 shoulder bag along with an insightful press release, charting the conception and design ethos behind this timeless accessory, explaining each unique detail.
Created by master craftsmen, each bag goes through 180 different procedures and has been re-created in multiple different materials, colors and proportions since its debut in February 1955 by Mademoiselle Chanel and more recently via the genius head of the label; Karl Lagerfeld.
