Innovation & technology: Build with Chrome by Google and Lego

Honoring LEGO’s 50th anniversary in Australia, the Denmark-based toy manufacturer has teamed up with Google Chrome to create Build – an online platform that enables users to construct and share 3-D LEGO structures digitally.

Utilizing Google Maps technology, the web browser invites users to choose a suitable plot of land and start build on it straight away using the tools on the screen.  Additionally, adding a social aspect to the project, users can share their architectural wonders through the Google Australia Google+ page.

It’s great to see a company like LEGO, creators of an inherently physical product, moving into digital realms without losing its core values of creativity and play.  Check it out on your Chrome browser. – Samantha Fox
