Celebrating a new design thinking that very much underpins our latest Wild Craft and Sensing Matter mega trends, the latest exhibition at the Design Museum Holon, Israel showcases a design narrative that considers designers who are retracing their roots and crafting from earth matter, sustainable materials, animal skins, timber, wood pulp, earth and fire.
Challenging the materialization of recent years and in an almost post apocalyptic world after the world’s worst financial crisis designers are not afraid to show their primitive side.
Curated by trend forecaster Li Edelkort it brings together the work of 60 international contemporary designers who’s work has been assembled by Edelkoort into a series of Future Fossils. Designers include Pieke Bergmans, Raw Edges studio and Arik Levy
The show runs until the 30th April 2011.
