Anyone who’s a fan of Japanese lifestyle magazine, Lightning will be familiar with their love of niche collectable and purest objects- be it a car, a pair of boots or a vintage jean. The magazine is a great source of inspiration for any menswear or jeanswear designer and you can get quite obsessive about the publication!
They hold an exciting annual event in collaboration with Club Harley in Odaiba, an island on the outskirts of Tokyo, and the ‘Festival’ includes a specialist and vintage car and bike fair, a vintage market and stalls selling premium garments from Warehouse, Dry Bones and Studio D’Artisan, among many others. If you live in Tokyo or are planning a visit around November 3rd (the date of the show) we recommend you pop to Odaiba, as it will be a hot bed of purist Lightning readers, no doubt.
