In Bed With Ruffian

img_3154as.jpgHey Lower West Siders – I don’t know if you’ve heard but Earnest Sewn has jumped into bed with Ruffian! Taking things all too literally, Ruffian has created a shop-in-shop in the back of Earnest Sewn’s Meatpacking district store in the style of a “Ruffian girl’s bedroom”. Working with set designer and artist Anne Koch, they’ve thought out every detail of who this girl is and what her room would look like – think boarding school girl with a wild side and you will be close. I loved that they had even thrown underwear on the floor! With all the hard work that goes into designing a line, it’s always cool to see talented designers who don’t take themselves too seriously. I DJed the launch party for the new space last night and managed to snap a few photos as well. If you’re in New York though you should really go see it for yourself. xoxo eddie (Earnest Sewn 821 Washington St. 212.242.3414)

  • is that picture of a jonas?? because that’s too much!
i think the girl in the first picture forgot her pants, how did breathe without flashing people, much less move? looks like i missed another fun night 🙁 xror

  • Yes I’m pretty sure that is in fact a Jonas! This room rocked – and the attention to detail was so cool – the “Ruffian girl’s boyfriend” had apparently slept over the night before and his jeans were on the floor as well.
That’s an adorable little dress the girl in the first photo is wearing – she in fact had shorts on underneath – otherwise it definitely would have been a case of “I see London, I see France…”

  • There’s the gladiator sandals again!

Is that a hamster in the last shot ?
