New forms of illustration are an important area to keep an eye on for innovative techniques and stylized subject matter. Two female illustrators that caught the Stylesight’s graphic team’s eye over the last few months are Sara Blake and Marion Bolognesi. Both are from New York and starting to cut a groove in the illustration and graphic design world.
The first illustrator, Marion Bolognesi, is a master of watercolor beauty. Her entrancing paintings convey such emotion through the painted eyes of her subjects. A real unique use of technique and color brings an intense visual look to her work.
We’re sure we will be seeing more of her work over the next couple of months but if you can’t wait, visit her site for more vibrant watercolor work. www.marion-b.com
Another stunning N.Y. illustrator based in the East Village is Sara Blake, a.k.a. ZSO. She is a ground breaking artist who has also been sending shockwaves around the creative sector.
Mixing intricate hand-drawn style with digital techniques, she creates some truly amazing studies and artworks. With collaborations with TEDxBrooklyn in the bag already, we would say she is definitely another illustrator to watch.
