This is the year TV went tech. Maybe it’s because we all have the latest iPhone and the Amazon Alexa and our lives are dominated by technology, so it made sense that our entertainment was too. A number of shows put tech utopia and dystopia front and center.

Black Mirror was the best show that did this for me; I watched the whole series and loved (but was subsequently terrified by) how it imagined our tech-fuelled future.

I loved the episode where the characters walked around with ratings on them the way we might rate Uber drivers and Tinder dates now, and some plot lines were so dark it made me look at my computer screen a little differently. But, all in all it was great entertainment and as VR, AR, and the future of tech continue to evolve it will be interesting to see what shows like this and Westworld got right and what they got wrong.

Absolutely love this show and especially this episode reminded me of startups I see in bay area. Klout was doing something similar back in the days, where they measured your ‘social score.’

I believe that with our new generation so immersed in social and tech; whats depicted in this episode, we might see it soon in distant future.
