Fashion month always changes gear when it gets to Paris, it’s more pared back, more classic, and what comes down the runway feels more dreamlike. Paris comes like a breath of fresh air at the end of a very long month. This is not the land of commercial clothes for the modern woman, this is beauty and art. And off the catwalk? The outfits go from outlandish to simple, details become more important than ever. Ruffles and bold colours are replaced by big shirts with ties and little accessories become more significant: a neckerchief here, a small clutch bag there.
