The catwalks were awash with luxury layered looks. Here’s how to recreate them without looking like you just threw on everything in your wardrobe.

Layering is a concept that has been around for a while when it comes to womenswear. Designers from the catwalk to the high street all talk about layering with womenswear designs, sleeveless duster jackets over polonecks with skirts over leggings with stripey socks and block Scandi open toed heels etc. But at the recent Paris shows, it was the male models on the catwalk who really spotlighted how well layering works for men as well.

WGSN Menswear Director Volker Ketteniss explains just how the designers channelled a nomadic look, using lived-in textures and intricate patterns to pull off luxury layering.
