LONDON…House of Holland is traditionally one of the most anticipated shows of fashion week in London, valued for high energy, bright color and a cutting edge soundtrack. F/W 09 was no different, providing many it-girl sightings, Agyness Deyn on the runway and a presentation like a Pantone book come to life. The bright tones served to distract from some difficult silhouettes, such as a tent-like strapless shirt dress and an oversize pleat hemline. But, the most wearable and probably salable items included shift dresses as well as chunky platform heels, which combine Henry Holland’s optimistic, pop sensibility with already on-trend pieces. Look to Henry Holland for an inspirational use of color as well as a peek at the youthful side of London fashion.
