Lidl now launches menswear after “phenomenal” womenswear debut

European discount supermarket chain Lidl has launched a men’s fashion collection in the UK, following the successful debut into womenswear in late summer.

The retailer will sell nine menswsear items, including T- shirts for £6.99 and jeans for £7.99, as well as cotton jumpers, winter jackets, and footwear.

The range will be in stores until it has sold existing stock. Lidl sold out of the womenswear in just three days.

Josie Stone, non-food buying manager at Lidl, told The Daily Telegraph: “The response to our womenswear collection was phenomenal.

“It just goes to show that the British public is looking for fashion pieces at great value, which is why we wanted to offer a collection for men as well.

“This new range continues with that concept of offering classic fashion pieces with a bit of an edge but without the designer price tag to match.”
