And now, back to the mid–1970s(ish) where we find model Lara Stone resting up against a vintage olive Ford looking like the perfect girl next door in H&M’s new Autumn/Winter 15 ad campaign.
Stone wears light wash cropped and full leg denim flares with brown and tan accessories. She is also seen in a cinched popover tunic, printed turtleneck dress and a sleeveless printed jumpsuit.
The campaign is set in an architecturally speaking simple yet minimal neighborhood with manicured lawns and short, cemented driveways.
The unfussy suburban design is reminiscent of the disenchantment with material excess that the 1970s harbored and also keeps the focus on the brand’s newest collection, which hits stores on August 20th.
Stone is also the face of Balenciaga and Kurt Geiger this season proving the 31-year-old model can shift seamlessly between commercial and high-end brand advertising, something many doubted she could achieve…
