New York: Influenced by Les Lalanne, the artist duo “unafraid of mixing different elements of reality, nature, and a sense of imagination”, Max Azria blended nature with urban components for his Hervé Léger F/W 13 collection. The label’s signature construction — the iconic bandage dress — was re-worked for Fall with body-contouring crystal embroidery, encrusted beading and stud details, adding texture and depth. Nature’s inspiration was seen in ocelot prints and autumnal hues, while leather harnesses, sport-simple baseball caps, exposed zippers and fur parkas provided shots of urban edge. Long-sleeves (mostly in sheer jersey) and to- or below-the-knee dresses layered over matching leggings made the body-con silhouettes more demure — not a knee peeked.
