Set on a small hill just a pebble’s throw from Ewha University sits Zio, an eyewear boutique with some of the hottest sunnies in the city.
Upon entry you’ll see why this has been a local favorite for almost 15 years, the inventive merchandising and wide assortment keep eyewear fanatics coming back year after year. The sun-bathed first floor hosts sunglasses from local talents and labels that have traveled from as far as Berlin and Los Angeles. The store is known for its range of styles, from edgy snakeskin frames to classic Hepburn shapes. In the basement the rest of the collection is set against a burnt-orange backdrop and neat rows of glasses mirror neat rows of naked bulbs running the length of the ceiling. The staircase harmoniously connects the two floors wrapping around a tall tree ornamented with multicolored, felt glasses and eyewear cases that kicks up the playful quality of the boutique.
