Happy New Year!

We hope you all had a lovely holiday season with friends and family, and are geared up for 2014. We can barely contain our excitement heading into this year as it is a huge year for the active industry worldwide! We just wanted to make sure to mention the biggest things we are looking forward to as they approach on the calendar…

1. SuperBowl XLVIII – NY/NJ
February 2nd

With New York and New Jersey hosting the 44th annual Super Bowl at MetLife Stadium, it marks the first time in the games history that it will be played outdoor in a cold weather climate. It also marks the first time that two states will be working together to host the matchup as the two teams share a stadium, and what a great place to do it!

2. The 2104 Winter Olympics – Sochi
– February 7th (Opening Ceremony)

We’ve been eyeing every bit of gear surfacing as the games get closer. From helmut collaborations from Cynthia Rowley and Lindsey Vonn to Ralph Lauren outfitting the USA Olympic team and Burton outfitting the USA snowboard team. Get ready for some amazing competition that has already kicked off with qualifying trials and the spirit is in the air!

3. 2014 FIFA World Cup – Brazil
June 12th through July 13th

One of the most anticipated meetings for the World Cup in history is almost here. Set in various cities around the sunny country, the event will be a great preview of what is to come in 2016 when the Summer Olympics take to the city of Rio de Janeiro. The match schedule is posted, and Spain will be defending it’s title as the games kick off in June.

Stay tuned to this space as we take you into 2014 with trade show coverage, streets, events and more. We’re excited for a huge year, and can’t wait to bring you all along with us!
