If you plan to be in London, Paris, or Berlin this summer, keep your eyes peeled for Havana Club’s Mojito Embassy, a refreshing pop-up bar and lounge. After a successful run in Milan, Cuban rum brand Havana Club is taking this D.I.Y. delight all across Europe, spreading the gospel of a mojito made from scratch, not pre-made mixes. London based firm Campaign designed the installation to look like an outdoor market, complete with stalls overflowing with limes and fresh mint.
Guests choose their ingredients and make their own drinks, guided by the expert staff on hand. (You know the old saying, “Give a man a mojito, he drinks for a day. Teach a man to make a mojito, he drinks for life.”) Once you’ve successfully muddled your mint, head on over to the Cantinero Bar to hear some live Cuban music. Feel like dancing? Go right ahead! Havana Club’s Mojito Embassy may look like and taste like Cuba, but Castro will be nowhere in sight. xx Ashley Churchill
