Back in November, the world was made aware of Jean Paul Gaultier’s impending children’s collection to be unveiled for F/W 09. The Fashion Office got a preview of the first collection when some miniature models ran down the men’s runway in Paris. The French designer partnered with France’s Zannier Group to create the 120 piece line for girls and boys ages 2 to 14. Zannier, founded in 1962, produces and distributes kids’ wear under about 20 brands, including Little Marc Jacobs, Levi’s, Kenzo and Oxbow. With such an eclectic aesthetic, one can only wonder if pirates, Scottish clansmen and super heroes aren’t far behind.
