The streets of Marrakech become Hassan Hajjaj’s studio, as he photographs friends, musicians and artists in a series of strikingly colorful portraits.
Influenced by the hip-hop and reggae scenes of London as well as his Moroccan heritage, Hassan Hajjaj fuses street portraiture and fashion photography, capturing shots of the people he meets. He immerses them in a pattern-filled world with vibrant backdrops and dressing them in clashing prints, often using an occasional prop to complete the look.
If you are in the Los Angeles neighborhood, then check out his entire collection of My Rockstars at the Gusford Gallery. The exhibition runs until February 22 and for more information visit gusfordgallery.com.
