As already highlighted from last week’s Bread & Butter trade show, powerful watercolor-enhanced imagery is an emerging trend coming through for apparel and product graphics. An artist who has already made a mark with her vibrant and beautifully styled artworks is Hannah Stouffer.
San Francisco-based illustrator and designer Hannah Stouffer uses watercolor and ink-blurred backdrops for her stunning illustrations. Intense color usage and intricate contrasting pen work over the top of these soft, focused canvases makes for some opulent and striking designs.
In her work, feminine decorative embellishments are counterbalanced by macabre motifs and images from the animal kingdom.
With clients such as American Express, Disney, Levi’s and Nike under her belt she has been making creative waves within the industry for some time.
