This series of hand-cut posters caught the Graphic Team’s eye the other day. Created by Singapore graphic design studio Roots, these visually captivating posters are all about simple structure and unique visual messages. Each poster combines color with Chinese typography to celebrate some of Malaysia’s local fruits – the durian, coconut and pineapple.
The idea is simple – Roots studio wants viewers to connect instantly with the posters by recalling their forgotten love for the fruits through memories of their unique personalities and characteristics of skin texture, color and taste. These are elevated in the posters with the use of key colors and handcrafted cutting techniques.
