Paris: Guillaume Henry’s first collection for Nina Ricci took the label in a slightly less feminine direction with straight and boxy silhouettes and minimal design details. The hints of military influences were elevated through elongated fringe details on jackets, tops, and cuff bracelets. Heavy pea coats and cropped utility jackets were softened by delicate lace under layers. Show-stopping allover lace midi dresses livened the collection in shades of silver, white, and red. Overall, Henry played it safe for his first season with Nina Ricci, however after seeing the way he grew and developed Carven, we’re hopeful for what’s to come. –Jaclyn Jones
