If you can win Grammys, then of course you can design a few kicks, right? Apparently that’s indeed the case for music extraordinaire Mr. Mark Ronson who was personally asked by Gucci’s creative director, Frida Giannini, to collaborate on a collection of limited edition sneakers for the iconic label. The shoes will be showcased and sold at Gucci’s revolving temporary store locations around the globe – a new shoe, from its 18-piece collection, will debut at each respective city. As an added bonus, each Gucci Ronson sneaker will come with a 12-inch vinyl record with tracks selected by Mark himself. Ronson and Giannini will kick things off on Crosby Street in New York City come October 23rd where the first store location will open its doors. The store will open to the public on October 24th and will stay open for 2 weeks. In December the temporary space will move to Miami to coincide with Art Basel Miami and Design Miami and in 2010 the pop-up store will come to London and Tokyo.
