Festival season is officially here, and we have gathered over 20 denim trends for women and men happening right now across global retail, denim lovers-don’t miss out.

Women-Red, White and Denim- A variety of Americana-infused denim assortments sweep the retail floor in the juniors market, particularly in the US. Stars-and-stripes themes are incorporated in a variety of techniques, from patches to laser-printing and appliqué. Belts are replaced with American-flag printed cloths and in-store displays pair Americana-inspired denim with coordinating tops and swimsuits.
Women- Bralet Variations- Denim bralet tops emerge this season among juniors’ retailers and brands in a variety of styles and decorative surfaces. From silhouette-hugging bustiers to more voluminous A-line cuts, this flirty key item works particularly well for festival shop and pool party looks. Important details include raw hemlines as well as braided straps and edges.
Women- Tropical Embellishes- While roses and flower-child embellishments continue, tropical beach themes offer a fresh alternative for festival-ready looks. Embroidery, patches, badges and appliqué featuring palm trees, exotic birds, colourful fruits and tropical flowers are spotted across product categories from trucker jackets to skinny jeans.
Men- Nostalgic Sport- Sportcore themes sweep summer deliveries with 1980s and 1990s references coming through strongly for both styling and colour. 1980s-inspired cut-off denim shorts, pale-blue trucker jackets and denim dungarees have an overall thrifted aesthetic, styled with primary bright tees and bumbags, with classic sport logos such as Fila and Tommy Hilfiger completing the look.
Men-Americana- As expected from commercial retail in the US, the Americana motif returns for key items such as the Western shirt and trucker jacket just in time for July 4. Back-interest detail is also updated for the season with American flag screenprints and USA-inspired embroideries, as seen at Gap. Sewn-on stars with frayed edges lend an authentic DIY appeal at 55 Croisette.
Men- Bold Blues- Brands and retailers look to 1970s-inspired bold blue indigo to refresh core denim items, with surface destruction and decoration kept to a minimum to make this bold colour stand out. Double-denim looks are promoted heavily on wall fixtures and in-store displays.
