Paris: In keeping with his past two Haute Couture collections, Riccardo Tisci created delicate yet heavily embellished looks in a palette of mostly white and pale tones. Transparency remained a key touch point, as the majority of the dresses were made mostly from fine silk tulle, but the newness came in the details. Pearls, crystals, appliqués and beads were packed tightly together, making for ultra-dimensional embellishments. The most labor-intensive gown featured silk tulle paillettes placed to create a scale-like effect, and another gown’s skirt was made from gold metal fringe. While at face value, the collection seems not to differ much from his two most recent couture offerings, the painstaking details show the designer is continuing to hone his craft with spectacular results. –Joanna Manganaro
