The relaxed silhouette that has over the years become synonymous with the name Giorgio Armani played a major role in this designer’s S/S 09 show. It also helped to underscore a fairly large collection that encompassed several different themes from “relaxed banker” – loose-fit pinstripe suit, fitted DB vest, no collar, no tie, slit-neck henley, white euro-casual footwear, “weekend comfy” – soft and relaxed pants, DB chenille cardi, “Techno-nomad” layer upon loose layer of travel-happy technical fabrics in intense shades and finally the “exotic yogi” wearing cropped dhoti pants and shirts instead of jackets in purple tones of shiny silk shantung. All in all a range of good clothes in which to live the good life.
