Stylesight’s global team of editors and correspondents will be out and about for the annual Fashion’s Night Out. Taking place on Thursday, September 8th, the worldwide event strives to get shoppers back into stores to buy new fall merchandise as well as to enjoy the excitement of special events. The 2010 event was well-received all over the world and offered plenty of buzz-worthy happenings, so retailers have big stilettos to fill for 2011.
The official FNO 2011 collection (pictured above) is available at most participating stores and online retailers. The collection has been expanded to include pima cotton short-sleeved T-shirts for men and women, long sleeved T-shirts, totes, and hats with the signature FNO logo, abstracted cityscape print, and unique fashion prints. Forty percent of proceeds raised from sales will go to the New York City AIDS Fund in the New York Community Trust.

“I’m going to Barneys, because it’s my favorite store in New York and I want to support their charity efforts, and am definitely going to Phaidon Soho, to see the the exhibit of Guy Bourdin’s photographs. I am a big fan.” —Sharon Graubard, SVP – Trend Analysis
“I will first make a stop at the new GANT Rugger store on Prince Street where designers Michael Bastian and Christopher Bastian will be on hand to preview the S/S 12 collection. The new shop is one of the hot spots for men’s retail as of late. Next, I’ll make my way down to Odin in the East Village for their version of The Price is Right’s classic game, Plinko. I’d also like to go to Opening Ceremony at The Ace Hotel, where illustrator Jessica Repetto will be sketching live portraits onto Band of Outsiders tote bags.” —Michael Fisher, Men’s Editor
