Stylesight’s Graphics Team takes a look at the latest exhibition from Gert & Uwe Tobias at the Whitechapel Gallery in London.
Romanian born twins, the Tobias brothers take the influences of the communist era style and European folklore to produce giant woodcuts and wall paintings in their latest collaborative project. Patterns of folk art consisting of decorative motifs such as flowers, plants, birds and domestic objects are employed to create a surreal narrative. The exhibition runs through June 14th.
