New York: Hunting, skiing and farmer looks got a colorful, techno update at General Idea this season. Shiny textiles, vibrant hues and bold contrasts modernized classic, functional styles like cargo jackets and pants. Patterns were aplenty: lumberjack plaids, camouflages, and fair isles were offered in saturated brights. Tailored clothing was made sporty by performance fabrics, and active-inspired quilted items felt rich with quilting and fur trims. From collars and lapels to pockets and linings, contrast details were a recurring theme.
