There’s a certain irony about this most British of brands being shown in Milan. This season, Christopher Bailey employed a horticultural theme for both his men’s and women’s collections. He was inspired by his own garden in Yorkshire and by that of English novelist Vita Sackville-West which Bailey found to be both romantic and feminine. These influences inspired him to create a palette of ochers, browns, and mossy greens for skinny cardigans, boyfriend pantsuits, and leather items.
