NEW YORK…One of the more creative large junior brands on the market, G-Star may not be high fashion, but they do present a forward and innovative look at what the average young woman would want to wear. S/S 09 brought experiments in print and proportion, via a handful of long, colorful dresses and voluminous pants with exaggerated, faux French cuffs at the bottom. Spats were also incorporated for quirky and directional styling. Backing up these more interesting ideas, reliable hits like denim jumpsuits and mini dresses will also be popular. A well executed collection directed at a young customer.
