To find out how emerging designers imagine the jeans of the future, Denim by Premiere Vision has asked students from the prestigious fashion and design school Central Saint Martins in London to participate in a contest that combines creativity, know-how and a knowledge of the denim industry. The legendary Adriano Goldschmied will act as the president of this new Denim Designer Award and Umberto Brochetto will supervise the project and garment production of the six finalists.
The finalists will present their creations on June 2nd, and will have the opportunity to defend them in front of the jury, the press and the salon’s buyers and exhibitors. Adriano Goldschmied will award the Future Denim Designers Award to the winner. Each designer will present a top and a skirt or pants, made of materials supplied by exhibitors: Orta, TRC Candiani and Berto. During the two days of the fabric show, you’ll be able to view their creations in an area specially designed by Saint Martins students, which will display the garments in an aged wooden carousel.
