Earlier this month, American Graffiti artist Futura 2000 opened his first gallery exhibition in over 10 years in Soho, New York City, where thousands of fans, celebrities and socialites gathered to view his collection of expressive artworks. Futura 2000’s famous street art and brand collaborations have led him to become one of the most famous names in the industry.
Futura has collaborated with a variety of brands including Nike, The North Face, Supreme and Levi’s to produce a variety of graffitied clothing lines, shoe designs and sportswear. He also manufactures his own clothing line under the label Futura Laboratories with a singular store located in Japan.
His most recent collaboration was a project with Hennessy VS cognac to design the branding for the new bottle. Now launched in the U.S., the bottle is decked out with an explosion of color and a signed limited edition label.
The Futura Shock exhibition, curated by Nemo Librizzi, showcases unseen work alongside a selection of his renowned pieces.
The exhibition can be found at 560 Washington St., Soho, New York and is open until October 5th, 2012.
