Everyone who has or had anything to do with skateboarding in New York City over the past 30 years attended the FULL BLEED closing party last night at MILK gallery in the Meat Packing District. FULL BLEED: New York City Skateboard Photography, published by VICE, was created by three of the city’s coolest OG skaters; Alex Corporan, Andre Razo and Ivory Serra. (Enough said!)
Over the years, the threesome began aggregating classic skate shots in and around the five boroughs with hopes to showcase this unique world of the New York City skate scene. They curated 300 pages from such photographers as: Giovanni Reda, Atiba Jefferson, Cheryl Dunn, Craig Wetherby, Spike Jonze, Neckface, Angela Boatwright and Glen E. Friedman – just to name a few.

Everyone that is anyone, in the East Coast scene including Andy Kessler, Gonz, Geo Moya, Harold Hunter, Quim Cardona, Mike Hernandez and Chris Keefe are emblazoned on the glossy pages of the hard-cover book.

MILK was busting at the seams, and felt more like a high-school skateboard reunion than a gallery party. Attendees included Rodney Smith, co-founder of SHUT and Zoo York, Michael Cohen also from SHUT, photographer Craig Wetherby, Amy Gunther from KCDC Skateshop, Jeff Pang, from DC Shoes and family, Felipe Lara and the cover-boy himself, Bruno Musso with an equally important NYC skate legend, Harry Jumonji.
Fun was had by all, including the Stylesight Active Team, throughout the night. It was great to see friends and of course check out all the cool pics. We highly recommend picking up a copy…go get ‘em while they are hot!
